Forms & input
Problem
Forms and input fields in applications often lack clear instructions, labels, or feedback when something goes wrong. Screen reader users may not know what information is expected, whether their input was accepted, or what they need to correct. Sighted users who cannot distinguish colour cues alone face the same barriers.
Goal
- Every form field has a visible label and programmatically associated name.
- Errors are clearly identified and described in text, not just through colour or icons.
- When an error is detected, a suggestion for correction is provided where possible.
